Hello! I’m Tyler and I am one of the two people responsible for starting TanCom. I am currently in High School and I do some web designing, and graphic design, and I play trombone in the marching band at school. I plan on taking several classes on both of these subjects throughout the next few years of school. As of now, I am planning on going to the University of Arizona or Northern Arizona University once I am finally out of high school.

This blog is pretty much about what I do: enjoy technology, design things, and live for Christ. Attempting to work around a busy schedule, I plan on trying to post at least once a week on any of the three  topics I’ve mentioned.

I’m currently using a home build computer with 3.06 GHZ dual core, 64 bit Intel (Core2 Duo) processor. With that, I have 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. This computer dual boots between Kubuntu (Lucid Lynx – 10.04) and Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Also, I have a laptop with a 2.16GHZ dual core, 64 bit Intel processor, 2GB RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. It is pure Ubuntu (Lucid Lynx – 10.04).

A little more about me:

I am a Christian (Baptist) and I do a bit of volunteer work such as running the computer for the high school and middle school services.

Between books and TV, I would have to choose books if there is a good book to read. I am mainly into science fiction books and the TV show “Chuck”. Most of my free time is spent talking to my friends or messing around with some web designing.

Recently

Just recently, I have finished helping out with our school musical (Into the Woods) – I was one of two crew heads over the Lighting and Sound. This experience has cause me to become VERY interested in theatrical tech. (It seems like every time I do something like this, I become very interested. Haha)

Also, I am working on a project I have called the PocketNienhouse which has been inspired by my peers. I’m working on building it from the bottom up (aside from the tools I’m using – WordPress, PhpBB, and Drupal) including matching designs for each component of the project.
